Brett Onnink

Brett was born and raised in rural Wisconsin and later married and relocated to South Bend, Indiana.  He dove head first into the forged blade when acting as a race director for an ultra marathon.  The race needed handmade awards and without the funds to buy them he decided that he could make them himself.

Years, and many smithing classes later Brett has slowly refined his skills; learning bowie knife making, and pattern welding.

Brett is actively involved in the Indiana Blacksmith Association helping out every Tuesday evening for the St Joseph Valley Forgers open shop time.
